Beginning Cake Decorating Class

4 hours – break for lunch (lunch provided)
10:00am – 2:00 pm
In this beginning cake decorating class you will learn to
- make icing
- level, ice, and smooth a cake
- color icing and fill pastry bags
- learn star , dots, writing, shell border, drop flowers, and leaves decorating techniques
Students will need to bring:
- 8″ or 9″ Cake (one layer or two) un-iced
- 1 – 2lb bag of powder sugar
- Hand Mixer if available
- 3-4 Pastry Bags
- 2- 3 Couplers
- Tips: – 3, 21, 16 or 18, large closed star tip, 352
- spatula
- cups or bowls (to color icing)
- dish towel, napkins, or paper towels
- Apron (optional)
- Pen & Paper
- Cake leveler (optional)
- Turntable (optional)
Children age 16 and up are welcome to attend this class
You may register for class by phone (785-228-2253) with a credit card. If you prefer to pay by cash or cash, you may register in person. Full payment is required to complete registration. Full refund is given only if you cancel at least five (5) days before the class. After this deadline, no refunds or credit will be issued.
